What does acupuncture feel like?

In our clinic, acupuncture is very gentle, and most often painless. If you have never experienced the benefits of acupuncture, the idea of needling may sounds intimidating. But contrary to common belief, due to the stimulation of acu-points and Qi, acupuncture is very relaxing. In fact, most patients can easily fall into a deep, lucid dreaming state. After acupuncture, they slowly awaken from this relaxed state and instantly feel more balanced, grounded and fully recharged.

How should I prepare for an acupuncture treatment?

It is recommended to eat a light meal, before the treatment. Please do not brush the tongue beforehand to ensure accurate diagnosis. Loose clothing like sweat pants, buttoned shirts, and T-shirts are recommended.

How many treatments do I need?

The number of treatments vary according to the severity of the diseases, the conditions you have, and your responses to the treatments. In general, recent conditions will typically need fewer treatments than chronic or severe conditions. Usually the treatment shall be done once or twice a week. For some people, it can take several treatments before noticing the changes in their body, while for some, the effects are immediate.

Insurance and Payment

We will gladly provide you a superbill that you may submit directly to your insurance company if your insurance plan does cover acupuncture service.  Since we do not bill, we collect payment when services are rendered.
